Marques in the Park is the spring time motoring display for the Council of ACT Motor Clubs and hosted by the
Canberra Rod and Kustom Club
Marques in the Park has grown from 200 cars in 2003 to over 700 in 2007, this year we are hoping to get 1000
vehicles on display, showcasing over 100 years of vehicles from the Canberra Region. So tell you clubs and your
friends and join in the fun on the 13 November 2011.

Description:
We are planning, subject to interest, a trip to the Temora Aviation Museum’s major flying day for the year.
There will be plenty of aerial action for you to enjoy with most of the Museum's aircraft collection taking
to the skies as well as plenty of visiting aircraft. The visiting aircraft which have been confirmed are shown
on the TAM website.
Apart from the flying program there will be other exhibits for you to see and enjoy. The children will be
occupied with Kids Korner, Jumping Castles and other activities. A wide variety of food vendors will be here
on the day to ensure you are provided with a vast food selection.
Additionally there will be a display of classic / vintage cars and military vehicles.
Temora is about a 3 hour drive from Canberra and flying starts at 11 am. So that means departing at about
7:15 am to get there in time tom park etc, given that these days are very popular.
Alternatively, an overnight stay is possible, although accommodation in the area fills up quickly. At time
of writing there are still rooms available at the Club Inn Resort in West Wyalong (about 1 hour from the museum)
for Fri Nov 18 starting at $105.
To avoid the crush, and to save time, buying tickets on line is recommended (see their web site). Tickets cost
$30 per adult. There is also a Gold Pass with grand stand seating available at $100 per adult.
